Dear Readers, Our Grandson, Sammy, was born in May, 2009 and while the Tuesday Letters are addressed to him, they're for his brother, Max, too. Peace and good________, Beth
In 1960 my Dad used a manual typewriter and multiple pieces of carbon paper to write weekly letters to family members who were away from home. My college friends made sure they had lunch with me on Tuesdays, the day his letter arrived, so that they could hear his take on everything from weasels in the garden to weasels in the White House. When Art and I started the "Adventure Stage of Life", we re-kindled the tradition Dad began forty years ago. (Letters are sent occasionally, not weekly… We're not as disciplined as Dad.)
